McNamara played a pivotal role in leading the team to victory in the two thousand three national championship.

After completing his education at Syracuse, McNamara transitioned to professional basketball, showcasing his skills with teams such as Panionios BC, Olympiacos BC, the Bakersfield Jam, BK Ventspils, and the Reno Bighorns.
