Gianni Romme

Gianni Romme, born on February twelfth, nineteen seventy-three, is a distinguished Dutch marathoner and former long track speed skater. His remarkable career is highlighted by his outstanding performance at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, where he clinched two gold medals, solidifying his status as one of the elite athletes in the sport.

In addition to his Olympic success, Romme showcased his versatility and skill by becoming the World all-round champion in both two thousand and two thousand three. His achievements on the ice have left an indelible mark on the world of speed skating, inspiring future generations of athletes.

After retiring from competitive skating, Romme transitioned into coaching, taking on the role since the 2006–07 speed skating season. His experience and insights have been invaluable in nurturing new talent and promoting the sport he loves.
