Gigi Becali

Gigi Becali, born on June twenty-fifth, nineteen fifty-eight, is a prominent Romanian businessman, entrepreneur, and politician, widely recognized for his ownership of the FCSB football club. His multifaceted career has also seen him delve into writing, showcasing his diverse talents.

Between June two thousand nine and December two thousand twelve, Becali served as a Member of the European Parliament. Following this, he was elected to the Romanian Parliament in December two thousand twelve, a position he held until his conviction in May two thousand thirteen.

In two thousand twenty-four, Becali made a political comeback by being elected as a member of the Chamber of Deputies for the AUR party. However, his tenure was short-lived as he departed in March two thousand twenty-five, following a controversial decision by party chairman George Simion regarding the support for a female presidential candidate.
