Gillian Apps, born on November second, nineteen eighty-three, is a distinguished figure in women's ice hockey, both as a player and a coach. Her remarkable career is highlighted by her contributions to the Canadian National Hockey Team, where she played a pivotal role in securing gold medals at three consecutive Olympic Games.

As a psychology major at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, Apps not only excelled academically but also made her mark on the ice as a member of her college's ice hockey team, competing in ECAC women's ice hockey. Her dedication and skill led her to represent Canada on the international stage, where she celebrated victories at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, and the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

In addition to her Olympic success, Apps was instrumental in Team Canada's triumphs at the World Ice Hockey Championships, earning gold medals in two thousand four and two thousand seven, along with silver medals in two thousand five, two thousand eight, two thousand nine, two thousand eleven, and two thousand thirteen.

Apps played for the Brampton Thunder in the Canadian Women's Hockey League until her retirement from professional women's hockey in two thousand fifteen. Today, she resides in Unionville, Ontario, where she continues to inspire the next generation of athletes.
