Gimax, born on January first, nineteen thirty-eight, was an Italian racing driver known for his unique approach to the sport. He never competed under his real name, opting instead for the moniker 'Gimax,' a name that has also been carried on by his son, who followed in his father's footsteps in the racing world.
His career in Formula One was brief yet notable. Gimax entered the World Championship Formula One Grand Prix at the 1978 Italian Grand Prix, driving for the Surtees team. Unfortunately, he did not qualify for the race, marking a challenging moment in his racing journey.
In addition to his World Championship attempt, Gimax participated in one non-Championship Formula One event, the 1979 Dino Ferrari Grand Prix. This race provided him with an opportunity to showcase his skills, albeit outside the official championship framework.
