Gandhi Alimasi Djuna, known professionally as Gims, is a Congolese singer and rapper born on May sixth, nineteen eighty-six. He grew up in France, where he currently resides, and has made a significant impact on the music scene as a member of the hip hop group Sexion d'Assaut before launching his solo career in two thousand thirteen under the name Maître Gims.

His debut album, Subliminal, released in May two thousand thirteen, was a remarkable success, selling over one million copies and peaking at number two on the French album charts. The album featured hit singles like 'J'me tire', 'Bella', and 'Zombie', and was certified double diamond for exceeding one million in sales.
