Giorgio Petrosyan

Giorgio Petrosyan, born on December tenth, nineteen eighty-five, is a renowned Armenian-Italian former kickboxer celebrated for his exceptional technical skills and defensive capabilities. Known by the moniker 'The Doctor', Petrosyan has made a significant mark in the world of combat sports, particularly in the middleweight division, where he is often hailed as one of the greatest kickboxers of all time.

At the age of thirteen, Petrosyan immigrated to Italy from Armenia, where he began his journey in professional fighting. He started as a Muay Thai fighter at sixteen, initially competing in the bantamweight category of fifty-four kilograms, before progressing through various weight classes and ultimately establishing himself in the middleweight division at seventy kilograms. Throughout his career, he has amassed numerous titles, showcasing his prowess in the ring.

Petrosyan's career took a pivotal turn in two thousand eight when he transitioned to kickboxing rules, quickly rising to prominence by competing in prestigious organizations such as It's Showtime and K-1. His remarkable talent was on full display as he secured consecutive K-1 World MAX World Championship Tournament titles in two thousand nine and two thousand ten, solidifying his status as the top middleweight fighter globally.

Despite facing a setback with a decision loss to Nonthanan Por. Pramuk at Lumpinee Stadium in January two thousand seven, Petrosyan embarked on an extraordinary six-year undefeated streak, winning forty-two fights and establishing one of the most dominant reigns in kickboxing history. This impressive run was eventually halted by Andy Ristie at Glory twelve in November two thousand thirteen. Following the decline of It's Showtime and K-1, Petrosyan joined Glory in two thousand twelve, further affirming his elite status by winning the Glory two thousand twelve Lightweight Slam tournament.
