Giovanni Santi

Giovanni Santi, born in 1435 in Colbordolo within the Duchy of Urbino, was a multifaceted Italian artist renowned for his contributions as a painter, poet, and art historian. His artistic journey began under the tutelage of the esteemed Piero della Francesca, where he honed his skills and developed a unique style influenced by the works of Fiorenzo di Lorenzo.

As the court painter to the Duke of Urbino, Santi created several notable altarpieces, showcasing his talent and dedication to the craft.
