Giuseppe Bertello, born on October first, nineteen forty-two, is a distinguished Italian prelate of the Catholic Church. He has held the esteemed title of cardinal since two thousand twelve and served as the President of the Pontifical Commission for Vatican City State as well as the Governorate of Vatican City State from October two thousand eleven to October two thousand twenty-one.
His remarkable career in the diplomatic service of the Holy See spanned four decades, from nineteen seventy-one to two thousand eleven. During this time, he was appointed as an archbishop in nineteen eighty-seven and represented the Holy See as Nuncio to several countries, including Rwanda, Mexico, and Italy.
