Glen Johnson

Glen Johnson, born on August 23, 1984, is a distinguished English former professional footballer renowned for his role as a right back. His football journey commenced at West Ham United, where he showcased his talent before embarking on a loan spell at Millwall. Following West Ham's relegation in 2003, Johnson made a significant move to Chelsea for a fee of six million pounds, contributing to the club's triumph in the 2004–05 Premier League and the 2005 League Cup final.

In June 2006, Johnson transitioned to Portsmouth on loan for the 2006–07 season. His impressive performance at Fratton Park led to a permanent transfer for approximately four million pounds. During his time with Portsmouth, he made ninety-nine appearances and played a pivotal role in the team's victory in the 2008 FA Cup final against Cardiff City.

Johnson's career took another leap in the summer of 2009 when he joined Liverpool for a fee of seventeen point five million pounds. Over six seasons at Anfield, he made two hundred appearances, including a memorable win in the 2012 League Cup final. In July 2015, he signed with Stoke City on a free transfer, where he played for three seasons, totaling sixty-four appearances before announcing his retirement.

On the international stage, Johnson earned fifty-four caps for the England national team between 2003 and 2014. He was selected for England's squads in the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups, as well as UEFA Euro 2012, marking a significant period in his football career.
