Glory Alozie

Glory Alozie, born on December 30, 1977, is a distinguished former track and field athlete renowned for her prowess in hurdling. Hailing from Nigeria, she proudly represented both her native country and Spain throughout her athletic career.

Alozie's journey in athletics began with remarkable success at the junior level, where she secured a second-place finish at the World Junior Championships in 1996. Transitioning to senior competitions, she achieved significant milestones, including becoming the African champion on two occasions and holding the African and Commonwealth records in the 100 meters hurdles at one point.

In a pivotal moment in her life, Alozie became a Spanish citizen on July 6, 2001. This transition marked the beginning of a new chapter in her career, culminating in a gold medal victory at the 2002 European Athletics Championships. Her talent shone brightly in the 60 meter hurdles, where she earned silver medals at the World Indoor Championships in both 2003 and 2006.
