Gonzalo Higuaín

Gonzalo Higuaín, born on December 10, 1987, is a distinguished Argentine former professional footballer renowned for his prowess as a striker. Affectionately nicknamed El Pipita or Pipa, he is celebrated as one of the finest strikers of his generation, recognized for his remarkable goal-scoring ability, robust physique, and instinctive offensive movements.

Higuaín began his illustrious career at River Plate in Argentina before making a significant move to Real Madrid in January 2007. During his tenure in Spain, he secured three La Liga titles and established himself as one of Europe's elite strikers. In 2013, he transferred to Napoli for a fee of forty million euros, where he won the Coppa Italia in his debut season and achieved a remarkable feat by scoring thirty-six league goals in the 2015–16 season, earning the Capocannoniere title and equaling the record for goals in a Serie A season.

In 2016, Higuaín made headlines when he signed with Juventus for a staggering ninety million euros, marking one of the highest transfers in football history. His time with Juventus was marked by success, as he clinched domestic doubles in his first two seasons and reached the Champions League final in 2017. He later had loan spells at AC Milan and Chelsea, where he added the UEFA Europa League to his accolades. Higuaín concluded his playing career with Inter Miami in 2020, retiring in 2022.

Born in France to Argentine parents, Higuaín obtained Argentine citizenship in 2007. He made his international debut for Argentina in 2009 and represented his country in three FIFA World Cups and three Copa América tournaments, contributing to second-place finishes in 2014, 2015, and 2016. After his last appearance in the 2018 World Cup, he announced his retirement from international football in March 2019, having earned seventy-five caps and scored thirty-one goals for his nation.
