Goran Vasilijević

Goran Vasilijević, born on August 27, 1965, is a retired Serbian footballer renowned for his role as a defender. His football journey began at Galenika Zemun, where he showcased his talent before moving to Radnički Niš. In the summer of 1988, he made a significant leap in his career by joining the prestigious Red Star Belgrade.

During his time with Red Star, Vasilijević was part of a historic squad that clinched the European Cup in 1991, marking a pinnacle in his playing career. His skills on the field not only earned him accolades in Serbia but also opened doors for international opportunities.

In the mid-1990s, Vasilijević expanded his horizons by playing abroad in Bulgaria and Japan, further enriching his experience in the sport. After hanging up his boots, he transitioned into coaching, briefly taking the helm at Obilić in 2002, where he sought to impart his knowledge and passion for the game.
