Gorgui Dieng

Gorgui Dieng, born on January eighteenth, nineteen ninety, is a distinguished Senegalese former professional basketball player who has transitioned into a role as a basketball operations representative with the San Antonio Spurs in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

His basketball journey began at the collegiate level, where he showcased his talents with the Louisville Cardinals. Dieng's professional career took off when he was selected as the twenty-first overall pick in the two thousand thirteen NBA draft by the Utah Jazz, only to be traded on draft night to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

During his seven seasons with the Timberwolves, Dieng established himself as a reliable player before moving to the Memphis Grizzlies in February two thousand twenty. After reaching a contract buyout agreement with the Grizzlies in March two thousand twenty-one, he joined the San Antonio Spurs in free agency. His career continued with a brief stint at the Hawks in August two thousand twenty-one, before returning to the Spurs in July two thousand twenty-two.
