Gotye

Gotye, born on May 21, 1980, is a Belgian-born Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist renowned for his eclectic musical style. He gained international fame with his 2011 hit single 'Somebody That I Used to Know,' featuring Kimbra, which not only topped the Billboard Hot 100 but also dominated several global charts, becoming the best-selling song of two thousand twelve.

His remarkable talent has earned him five ARIA Awards and a nomination for an MTV EMA for Best Asia and Pacific Act. At the prestigious 55th Annual Grammy Awards, 'Somebody That I Used to Know' won both Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, while his acclaimed album 'Making Mirrors' received the award for Best Alternative Music Album.

In addition to his solo success, Gotye is a founding member of the Melbourne indie-pop trio, The Basics, which has independently released five studio albums and a variety of other projects since two thousand two. He has also released three studio albums independently and an album featuring remixes of tracks from his earlier works.
