Grand Duke Alexei Mikhailovich of Russia

Grand Duke Alexei Mikhailovich of Russia, born on December twenty-eighth, eighteen seventy-five, was the youngest child and sixth son of Grand Duke Michael Nicolaievich of Russia. His lineage connected him closely to the Russian imperial family, being a first cousin of Alexander III of Russia.

From an early age, Alexei was groomed for a career in the Russian Navy, a path that reflected the maritime traditions of his family. However, his promising future was tragically cut short.

At the tender age of nineteen, Alexei succumbed to tuberculosis on March second, eighteen ninety-five. His untimely death not only marked the loss of a young life but also a potential naval leader who could have contributed to Russia's maritime legacy.
