Grant Imahara

Grant Imahara was a multifaceted American electrical engineer, roboticist, television host, and actor, celebrated for his innovative contributions to the world of robotics and entertainment. He gained widespread recognition for his role on the iconic television series MythBusters, where he was instrumental in designing, building, and operating a variety of robots and machines to test popular myths.

Beginning his career at Lucasfilm, Imahara worked in the THX division and later in the Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) division, contributing to visual effects for blockbuster films from renowned franchises such as Star Wars, Jurassic Park, The Matrix, and Terminator. His expertise in engineering and design was further showcased in the robot combat series BattleBots, where he not only designed and competed with his robot Deadblow but also returned as a judge.
