Graydon Nicholas

Graydon Nicholas, born on January first, nineteen forty-six, is a distinguished Canadian attorney, judge, and politician. His remarkable career is highlighted by his tenure as the thirtieth Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick from two thousand nine to two thousand fourteen, a role in which he made history as the first Indigenous person to hold this esteemed office.

Before his appointment as Lieutenant Governor, Nicholas broke new ground in the legal field. In nineteen ninety-one, he became the first Indigenous individual to be appointed as a provincial court judge, paving the way for future generations of Indigenous legal professionals.
