Greg Francis

Greg Francis, born on April fourth, nineteen seventy-four, is a distinguished Canadian basketball coach and former player. His impressive career includes serving as the director of Sport Development with Ontario Basketball, where he played a pivotal role in nurturing the next generation of basketball talent. Additionally, he held the position of manager of Men's High-Performance at Canada Basketball, showcasing his commitment to elevating the sport at a national level.

As a coach, Francis has made significant contributions to various teams, including the UOIT Ridgebacks and the University of Waterloo Warriors men's basketball team. Notably, he took over as head coach of the University of Alberta Golden Bears, succeeding the legendary Don Horwood, who had dedicated twenty-six seasons to the program. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping the future of these teams.

Francis's experience extends to the international stage, where he was a member of the Canada national team that achieved a commendable seventh place at the two thousand Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.
