Greg Nicotero

Greg Nicotero, born on March fifteenth, nineteen sixty-three, is a prominent American figure in the realm of special make-up effects, television production, and directing. His journey into the world of special effects began with a significant role in George A. Romero's iconic film, Day of the Dead, released in nineteen eighty-five. Under the mentorship of Romero and the esteemed make-up effects artist Tom Savini, Nicotero honed his craft and laid the foundation for a remarkable career.

In nineteen eighty-eight, he co-founded KNB EFX Group alongside Robert Kurtzman and Howard Berger. This special make-up effects studio has since contributed to over four hundred film and television projects, earning numerous accolades along the way. Notably, KNB received an Emmy Award in two thousand one for their exceptional work on the Sci Fi Channel miniseries Frank Herbert's Dune, and an Academy Award in two thousand six for their outstanding achievement in makeup for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Nicotero's influence extends to the small screen, where he has played a pivotal role as a senior producer, executive producer, special make-up effects supervisor, and primary director on the acclaimed AMC series The Walking Dead and its companion series, Fear the Walking Dead.
