Gregory Bittman, born on March fifth, nineteen sixty-one, is a distinguished prelate of the Roman Catholic Church, currently serving as the bishop of Nelson, British Columbia. His journey in the clergy began with his priestly ordination on August fifteenth, nineteen ninety-six, marking the start of a dedicated vocation.

In July two thousand twelve, a significant milestone in his ecclesiastical career was reached when Pope Benedict XVI appointed him as an auxiliary bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton. Prior to this appointment, Father Bittman held the roles of judicial vicar and archdiocesan chancellor, showcasing his commitment and leadership within the Church.

Furthering his service, on February sixth, two thousand eighteen, Pope Francis appointed him as the seventh Bishop of the Diocese of Nelson. He officially took possession of the Diocese on April twenty-fifth, two thousand eighteen, continuing his mission to guide and support the Catholic community in southeastern British Columbia.
