Gregory Olsen, born on April twentieth, nineteen forty-five, is a distinguished American entrepreneur, engineer, and scientist. In October two thousand five, he made history by becoming the third private citizen to embark on a self-funded journey to the International Space Station, facilitated by the company Space Adventures.

Olsen's entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Sensors Unlimited Inc., where he served as chairman. The company specializes in developing advanced optoelectronic devices, including sensitive near-infrared and shortwave-infrared cameras, with NASA being one of its significant clients.

Currently, Olsen holds the position of President at GHO Ventures, LLC, located in Princeton, New Jersey. In this role, he oversees a diverse portfolio that includes angel investments, a South African winery, a Montana ranch, and real estate in Manhattan and Miami. He is also passionate about inspiring the next generation, particularly minority and female children, to pursue careers in science and engineering through various speaking engagements.
