Grimes

Claire Elise Boucher, known to the world as Grimes, was born on March 17, 1988, in Vancouver, British Columbia. A multifaceted artist, she has made her mark as a musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Grimes' work is characterized by its unique blend of science fiction, feminism, and fantasy themes, which resonate deeply with her audience.

After relocating to Montreal in 2006, Grimes began her journey in the music industry by releasing music independently. Her early works, including the albums Geidi Primes and Halfaxa, were released in 2010 under Arbutus Records. However, it was her 2012 album, Visions, that catapulted her to fame, earning the prestigious Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year and featuring hit singles like 'Genesis' and 'Oblivion'.

In 2015, Grimes released her fourth studio album, Art Angels, which garnered critical acclaim and was hailed as one of the best albums of the year by several publications. Her most recent work, the fifth studio album Miss Anthropocene, was released in 2020, further solidifying her status in the music industry.

Beyond her musical endeavors, Grimes has ventured into other creative fields. She lent her voice to a character in the 2020 action role-playing video game Cyberpunk 2077 and served as a judge on the music competition show Alter Ego. Grimes is also a mother to three children with billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk.
