In the year twelve hundred and seven, Guérin ascended to the esteemed position of the fourteenth Grand Master of the Knights Hospitaller, a role he would fulfill until his passing in twelve twenty-eight. His leadership followed the tenure of Geoffroy le Rat, who had passed away in twelve hundred and six, and Guérin's legacy would eventually be carried on by Bertrand de Thessy.
