Guido Plante P.M.E., born on August 15, 1936, in Montreal, Quebec, was a dedicated Roman Catholic bishop whose life was marked by service and commitment to his faith.
After being ordained to the priesthood in 1961 with the Société des Missions-Étrangères in Laval, Quebec, Plante devoted his life to the church and its mission. His journey took a significant turn in 2004 when he was appointed coadjutor bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Choluteca, Honduras.
In 2005, he succeeded to the diocese, taking on the responsibilities of leadership and pastoral care. His tenure was characterized by a deep connection to the community and a focus on spiritual guidance.
Plante chose to retire in 2012 but continued to reside in Choluteca, where he remained until his passing on May 24, 2015. His legacy is one of unwavering faith and dedication to the church.
