Gul Mohammed

Gul Mohammed, born on February 15, 1957, was an extraordinary Indian circus performer who captured the world's attention as the shortest adult human being of his time. His remarkable height of just 1 foot 10.5 inches, or 57 centimeters, was officially recognized by Guinness World Records, making him a notable figure in the realm of human records.

On July 19, 1990, Gul was examined at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi, where his height and weight were meticulously documented. At that time, he weighed thirty-seven and a half pounds, or seventeen kilograms. His unique stature and presence in the circus world made him a beloved performer, showcasing his talents despite the challenges posed by his height.

Gul Mohammed's life was not without its struggles. He faced significant health issues, including a long battle with asthma and bronchitis, which ultimately led to his passing on October 1, 1997. His legacy, however, continued to inspire many, and his record was later surpassed by Chandra Bahadur Dangi of Nepal, who measured just 21.5 inches tall.
