Gustavo Dezotti, born on February fourteenth, nineteen sixty-four, is a distinguished Argentine former footballer renowned for his role as a striker. He commenced his professional journey with Newell's Old Boys in Argentina, where he was instrumental in the team's triumph during the Primera Division Argentina championship of nineteen eighty-seven to nineteen eighty-eight.

His impressive performance in Argentina caught the eye of major European clubs, leading to his move to Italy in nineteen eighty-eight. Dezotti played for S.S. Lazio and later U.S. Cremonese, showcasing his skills on a larger stage. In the season of nineteen ninety-four to nineteen ninety-five, he transitioned to Mexico, where he represented Club León and Club Atlas.

Dezotti concluded his playing career at Defensor Sporting Club in Uruguay, retiring in nineteen ninety-eight. One of the most memorable moments of his career occurred during the 1990 FIFA World Cup final, where he became the second player to be sent off in the match against West Germany, joining his teammate Pedro Monzón earlier in the game.
