Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Gustavo Jiménez

Gustavo Jiménez, born on April fifth, eighteen eighty-six in Tarma, Peru, was a notable figure in the country's political and military landscape. He rose to prominence as a colonel and played a pivotal role in the political upheaval that led to the fall of President Augusto B. Leguía's government.

In nineteen thirty-one, Jiménez organized one of several uprisings that ultimately resulted in significant changes in Peru's leadership. Following the appointment of General Luis Miguel Sánchez Cerro as the provisional president, Jiménez, dissatisfied with this decision, maintained a stronghold of armed supporters.

On March fifth, nineteen thirty-one, after the replacement of Sánchez Cerro by Ricardo Leoncio Elías Arias, Jiménez made a decisive return to Lima. He entered the presidential palace and, through negotiations with Elías, assumed the presidency, despite expectations that David Samanez Ocampo would take over that day.

However, Jiménez's presidency was short-lived. Faced with ongoing unrest and considerable opposition from the Navy, he relinquished power to David Samanez Ocampo on March eleventh, nineteen thirty-one. Jiménez's life came to an end in Lima, marking the conclusion of a tumultuous chapter in Peruvian history.
