Haakon, Crown Prince of Norway

Haakon Magnus, born on July twentieth, nineteen seventy-three, is the heir apparent to the Norwegian throne. As the only son and second child of King Harald V and Queen Sonja, he represents the fourth generation of the reigning Norwegian royal family from the House of Glücksburg.

In two thousand one, Haakon married Mette-Marit Tjessem Høiby, and together they have two children: Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus. His family life is complemented by a commitment to public service and philanthropy.

A trained naval officer, Haakon holds a senior military rank in the Norwegian Armed Forces. His dedication extends beyond military service; he has served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme and has participated in various philanthropic initiatives, including being a member of the Young Global Leaders network and its Foundation Board.

Academically, Haakon has a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science in development studies from the London School of Economics. His educational background and royal duties position him as a prominent figure in both national and international spheres.
