Habib Koité

Habib Koité, born on January twenty-seventh, nineteen fifty-eight, is a celebrated musician and singer-songwriter hailing from Mali. He is a proud representative of the Khassonké griots, a noble lineage known for their rich musical heritage. Koité's artistry is deeply rooted in the cultural traditions of Mali, which he masterfully blends with contemporary influences.

As the frontman of the renowned band Bamada, Koité has collaborated with a supergroup of talented West African musicians, including the esteemed Kélétigui Diabaté on balafon. This collaboration has allowed him to showcase the vibrant sounds of Malian music on a global stage.
