Habiba Ghribi, born on April ninth, nineteen eighty-four, is a distinguished Tunisian middle- and long-distance runner, renowned for her expertise in the 3000 metres steeplechase. Her remarkable athletic journey reached a pinnacle when she secured the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics, marking a historic moment as she became the first woman from Tunisia to achieve an Olympic medal.

In addition to her Olympic triumph, Ghribi holds the Tunisian record in the steeplechase, having clocked an impressive time of nine minutes and five point thirty-six seconds at the Memorial van Damme in Brussels in September two thousand fifteen. Her prowess on the track has been evident through her participation in various international competitions.

Ghribi has competed multiple times at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships, yet her most notable successes have come on the track. She earned a silver medal in the steeplechase at the 2006 African Championships in Athletics and a bronze in the 1500 metres at the 2009 Mediterranean Games. Her Olympic debut was at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where she finished thirteenth in the inaugural women's Olympic steeplechase event.
