Haji Aliyev

Haji Aliyev, born on April twenty-first, nineteen ninety-one, is a distinguished Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler who has made significant contributions to the sport. Competing primarily in the sixty-one kilogram division, he first gained international recognition at the 2014 European Wrestling Championships, where he clinched the gold medal by defeating Russia's Bekkhan Goygereyev. This victory marked the beginning of a remarkable journey in wrestling.

In the same year, Aliyev achieved his first world championship gold medal at the World Wrestling Championships held in Tashkent. His prowess continued to shine as he secured additional gold medals at the World Championships in Las Vegas in two thousand fifteen and Paris in two thousand seventeen. His success on the mat is complemented by his role as a flag bearer for Azerbaijan during the closing ceremonies of the 2016 Summer Olympics, where he earned a bronze medal in the fifty-seven kilogram division.
