Hallucinogen (musician)

Simon Posford, born on October 28, 1971, is an acclaimed English electronic musician renowned for his contributions to the psychedelic trance genre under the stage name Hallucinogen. His groundbreaking debut album, Twisted, released in 1995, is widely regarded as one of the most influential works in the electronic music scene.

Following the success of his first album, Posford released his second studio effort, The Lone Deranger, in 1997. In 2002, he presented a unique collection titled In Dub, which featured remixed tracks from his Hallucinogen catalog, reimagined by the talented artist Ott.

In addition to his solo work, Posford is the visionary founder of Twisted Records, a label that has played a significant role in the electronic music landscape. He is also a key member of the collaborative projects Younger Brother and Shpongle, with Younger Brother initially emerging as a side project alongside Benji Vaughan, marking a shift towards a more diverse musical style.

Posford's musical lineage can be traced back to his grandfather, George Posford, who was a notable composer and producer in the United Kingdom during the 1930s, further enriching Simon's artistic heritage.
