Ham Lin̄i

Ham Lin̄i, born on December eighth, nineteen fifty-one, was a prominent ni-Vanuatu politician known for his significant contributions to the political landscape of Vanuatu. Representing Pentecost Island in Penama Province, he served as a Member of Parliament and was a key figure in the National United Party (VNUP).

His political career reached a pinnacle when he assumed the role of Prime Minister of Vanuatu from December eleventh, two thousand four, until September twenty-second, two thousand eight. Lin̄i's leadership was marked by his commitment to the development and progress of his nation.

In addition to his tenure as Prime Minister, he also held the position of Deputy Prime Minister, a role he took on starting May sixteenth, two thousand fourteen. His political journey was further enriched by his familial ties, as he was the brother of Walter Lin̄i, a founding figure of the modern Republic of Vanuatu.
