Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Han Duck-soo

Han Duck-soo, born on June eighteenth, nineteen forty-nine, in Jeonju, South Korea, is a distinguished diplomat, economist, and politician. He has held significant positions in the South Korean government, including serving as the prime minister from two thousand seven to two thousand eight and again from two thousand twenty-two to two thousand twenty-five. Han is notable for being the fifth individual to occupy the prime minister's office on two separate occasions, working under Presidents Roh Moo-hyun and Yoon Suk Yeol.

In December two thousand twenty-four, following the impeachment of Yoon Suk Yeol, Han was appointed as the acting president of South Korea. However, his tenure was short-lived; just thirteen days later, he faced impeachment himself by the National Assembly due to his refusal to enact two special counsel bills aimed at investigating the former president and his wife, as well as his failure to appoint candidates for the Constitutional Court.

Despite this setback, Han was reinstated as both acting president and prime minister on March twenty-four, two thousand twenty-five, after a favorable court ruling. Initially expected to serve until the upcoming presidential election, he resigned on May first to pursue an independent presidential bid. During this time, he briefly became the candidate for the People Power Party when Kim Moon-soo's nomination was in limbo.

Han's political journey took a dramatic turn in August two thousand twenty-five when he was indicted by special prosecutors investigating the controversial martial law declaration by Yoon in two thousand twenty-four. On January twenty-first, two thousand twenty-six, he was found guilty and sentenced to twenty-three years in prison for his involvement in the insurrection, perjury, and the destruction of official documents.
