Hanna-Maria Seppälä

Hanna-Maria Seppälä, born on December thirteenth, nineteen eighty-four, is a distinguished retired Finnish freestyle swimmer. She made her mark in the swimming world by clinching the world title in the 100 m freestyle at the 2003 World Aquatics Championships held in Barcelona, Spain.

Her journey in swimming began at the tender age of five, and by the time she was ten, she had already earned a spot on the Finnish national junior team. Seppälä's talent shone brightly in 1999 when she secured a bronze medal in the 50 m freestyle event at the European Junior Championships, showcasing her potential on an international stage.

Throughout her illustrious career, Seppälä has set an impressive record by breaking over one hundred Finnish national records, a testament to her dedication and skill in the sport.
