Stuck's racing lineage is notable; he is the son of Hans Stuck, a prominent Grand Prix driver who was a runner-up in the nineteen thirty-six European Drivers' Championship.

Stuck's early racing experiences were shaped by his father, as they raced together at the Nürburgring during his childhood. His talent was evident when he won the prestigious 24 Hours of Nürburgring at the young age of nineteen in nineteen seventy. Throughout his Formula One career, he participated in eighty-one Grands Prix, driving for teams such as March, Brabham, Shadow, and ATS, and achieved podium finishes at both the German and Austrian Grands Prix in nineteen seventy-seven.

Beyond Formula One, Stuck's prowess extended into endurance racing, where he made a significant mark. He jointly won the World Endurance Championship for Drivers in nineteen eighty-five and secured two victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in nineteen eighty-six and nineteen eighty-seven, driving for Porsche. His success in touring car racing is highlighted by his triumph in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft in nineteen ninety.
