Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Harihara I

Harihara I, also known as Hakka and Vira Harihara I, was a pivotal figure in Indian history, born in the year 1306. He is celebrated as the founder of the Vijayanagara Empire, which emerged in present-day Karnataka, India. His reign began on 18 April 1336 and continued until his death on 20 November 1355, marking a significant era in the region's history.

As the eldest son of Bhavana Sangama, a chieftain of a cowherd pastoralist community, Harihara I claimed descent from the Shepherd community. This lineage played a crucial role in shaping his leadership style and the policies he implemented during his rule.
