Harri Holkeri

Harri Holkeri, born on January sixth, nineteen thirty-seven, was a prominent Finnish statesman who made significant contributions to both national and international politics. As a member of the National Coalition Party of Finland, he served as the Prime Minister from nineteen eighty-seven to nineteen ninety-one, a period marked by economic reform and modernization in Finland.

In addition to his role as Prime Minister, Holkeri held the esteemed position of President of the United Nations General Assembly from two thousand to two thousand one. His leadership during this time was characterized by a commitment to global cooperation and diplomacy.

Holkeri's dedication to international peace and stability continued when he took on the role of heading the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo from two thousand three to two thousand four. Unfortunately, he had to step down from this position in the summer of two thousand four due to health issues, but his impact on the region and his contributions to peacekeeping efforts remain noteworthy.
