Harriet Hageman

Harriet Hageman, born on October 18, 1962, is a prominent American attorney and politician, currently serving as the U.S. representative for Wyoming's at-large congressional district since January 3, 2023. A dedicated member of the Republican Party, Hageman has made significant strides in her political career, particularly after her notable victory in the 2022 Republican primary election.

A native of Wyoming, Hageman earned her degrees from the University of Wyoming and has built a successful career as a trial attorney. Her political journey includes an unsuccessful bid for the Republican nomination for governor of Wyoming in 2018, after which she served on the Republican National Committee. With the endorsement of former President Donald Trump, she defeated incumbent Liz Cheney, a vocal Trump critic, by a substantial margin, receiving more than double the votes while spending less than a quarter of Cheney's campaign budget.

Following her swearing-in to Congress, Hageman quickly established herself as a key figure in Wyoming politics. She successfully won re-election in 2024, further solidifying her influence. On December 23, 2025, she announced her intention to run for the United States Senate in 2026, aiming to succeed the retiring Cynthia Lummis.
