Haruma Miura was a talented Japanese actor and singer, whose career began at a young age. He made his acting debut in the television drama Agri in 1997, showcasing his remarkable talent early on. Miura gained widespread recognition for his role in the film Koizora in 2007, which earned him the prestigious Newcomer of the Year award at the thirty-first Japan Academy Prize.
Throughout his career, Miura starred in numerous popular television dramas and films, including the third season of Gokusen in 2009, Bloody Monday, Naoko, Kimi ni Todoke, Last Cinderella, Boku no Ita Jikan, The Eternal Zero, Attack on Titan, Gintama 2, and Two Weeks. His versatility as an actor allowed him to take on a variety of roles, captivating audiences with his performances.
In addition to his acting prowess, Miura made his debut as a singer in 2019 with the release of his single 'Fight for Your Heart.' His musical talent further showcased his artistic range. Miura also took to the stage in the Japanese production of Kinky Boots in 2016, where he portrayed the character Lola, earning accolades such as Best New Actor and the Haruko Sugimura Award at the twenty-fourth Yomiuri Theater Awards.
Tragically, Miura's life was cut short in 2020, but his legacy continues through his work. Following his passing, his second single, 'Night Diver,' was released posthumously, along with several of his acting projects. In recognition of his contributions to film, he was posthumously awarded the Nikkan Sports Yujiro Ishihara Film Prize for Fan's Choice in Best Actor for his role in Godai: The Wunderkind.
