Hasan ibn Zayd

Abū Muḥammad al-Ḥasan ibn Zayd ibn Muḥammad ibn Ismaʿīl ibn al-Ḥasan ibn Zayd, known as al-Dāʿī al-Kabīr, was a prominent theologian and the founder of the Zaydid dynasty of Tabaristan. Born in the year seven hundred fifty, he emerged as a significant figure in Islamic history, particularly among the Alid lineage.

His contributions to theology and his role as a missionary earned him the title 'the Great/Elder Missionary.' Hasan ibn Zayd's influence extended beyond religious teachings, as he played a crucial role in establishing a dynasty that would shape the political landscape of the region.

Hasan's legacy is marked by his dedication to the Zaydi cause and his efforts to promote the values of his lineage. He passed away on the sixth of January in the year eight hundred eighty-four, leaving behind a rich heritage that continues to be studied and revered.
