Hasmik Papian

Hasmik Papian, born on September second, nineteen sixty-one, is a distinguished Armenian soprano renowned for her exceptional contributions to the world of opera and music. With a profound talent for both singing and playing the violin, she has captivated audiences globally, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Armenia.

In recognition of her artistic achievements, Papian was honored with the title of People's Artist of Armenia in two thousand four. This prestigious accolade reflects her dedication to her craft and her significant impact on the Armenian cultural landscape.

Further solidifying her role as a cultural ambassador, she was appointed in two thousand five by Karekin II, the Catholicos of the Holy See of St. Echmiadzin and All Armenians. This recognition was accompanied by the esteemed Order of Saint Sahag and Saint Mesrob, as well as the Order of Saint Mesrop Mashtots, underscoring her commitment to promoting Armenian culture worldwide.
