Hau Pei-tsun

Hau Pei-tsun, born on July thirteenth, nineteen nineteen, was a distinguished Chinese general and politician who left an indelible mark on the Republic of China. He served as the premier from nineteen ninety to nineteen ninety-three, a pivotal role that showcased his leadership during a transformative period in Taiwanese history.

Prior to his premiership, Hau held the esteemed position of chief of the General Staff of the Republic of China Armed Forces from nineteen eighty-one to nineteen eighty-nine. In a historic moment, Hau attended an academic meeting in Nanjing on July sixth, two thousand seventeen, becoming the first former ROC premier to visit mainland China since the conclusion of the Chinese Civil War in nineteen forty-nine. Hau Pei-tsun passed away in March two thousand twenty at the remarkable age of one hundred, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication to his country.
