Hazal Kaya

Hazal Kaya, born on October 1, 1990, is a prominent Turkish actress celebrated for her captivating performances in various television series. She gained widespread recognition for her role as Nihal Ziyagil in the modern adaptation of Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil's classic novel, Aşk-ı Memnu, which aired from 2008 to 2010. This role marked the beginning of her ascent in the Turkish entertainment industry.

Following her debut, Kaya solidified her status as one of Turkey's highest-paid actresses with her remarkable portrayal of Feriha Sarrafoglu in Adını Feriha Koydum from 2011 to 2012. Her performance earned her the 2nd Crystal Mouse Media Award for Best Actress, and the series achieved some of the highest television ratings in Turkey.

In addition to her success in Adını Feriha Koydum, Kaya is well-known for her role as Filiz Elibol in Bizim Hikaye, which aired from 2017 to 2019 and was inspired by the British show Shameless. Her work in this series garnered her critical acclaim and the Latina Turkish Award for Best Actress.

More recently, Kaya took on the lead role of Esra / Peride in the historical drama series Midnight at the Pera Palace, which premiered on Netflix in 2022. Beyond her professional achievements, she married fellow actor Ali Atay in 2019, and together they have two children.
