Heather O'Reilly, born on January 2, 1985, is a distinguished American former professional soccer player renowned for her exceptional skills as a midfielder. A key figure in the United States women's national soccer team (USWNT), she has an impressive record, having secured three Olympic gold medals and a FIFA Women's World Cup title during her illustrious career.

O'Reilly's journey in soccer began at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she played college soccer from two thousand three to two thousand six. Her club career is equally remarkable, featuring stints with several teams, including the New Jersey Wildcats, Sky Blue FC, Boston Breakers, FC Kansas City, Arsenal, North Carolina Courage, and Shelbourne.

Upon her initial retirement from international play in September two thousand sixteen, O'Reilly had established herself as one of the most capped players in the world, with over two hundred thirty international appearances. She is celebrated for her prowess on the flank and is tied for fifth in USWNT history for assists, making her the eighth most capped player in the team's history.
