Hebe Camargo

Hebe Camargo, born on March 8, 1929, was a prominent Brazilian television host, singer, and actress, often hailed as the 'Queen of Brazilian Television.' Her illustrious career began in the 1940s as a singer, where she showcased her talents in comedy films alongside the renowned Mazzaropi.

Transitioning to radio and television in the 1950s, Camargo became a household name with her engaging presence on TV Paulista and her weekday program, 'O Mundo é das Mulheres' (The World Belongs to Women). The 1960s saw her move to Rede Record, where she captivated audiences as an interviewer on a Sunday program starting in 1966.

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Camargo's influence expanded as she appeared on nearly every major television station in Brazil, including Rede Bandeirantes. After a brief hiatus in 1980, she returned to the screen, and from 1986 to 2010, she was a beloved figure on the SBT Network, hosting popular shows like 'Hebe' and 'Fora do Ar.'

In 1995, her musical legacy was celebrated with the release of a greatest hits CD by EMI, and in 2006, she marked a significant milestone with her thousandth program on SBT.
