Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper

Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper, born on February seventh, nineteen sixty-three, is a distinguished American Naval officer and former NASA astronaut. With a remarkable career in the United States Navy, she has achieved the rank of Captain and has established herself as a qualified salvage officer, demonstrating her expertise in complex maritime operations.

Among her notable salvage projects, Stefanyshyn-Piper played a pivotal role in de-stranding the tanker Exxon Houston off the coast of Barbers Point in Hawaii. Additionally, she was instrumental in developing the salvage plan for the Peruvian submarine Pacocha, showcasing her skills in high-stakes environments.
