Heinrich von Kittlitz

Heinrich von Kittlitz, born on February sixteenth, seventeen ninety-nine, was a distinguished Prussian artist and naval officer whose passion for exploration and natural history defined his career. As a member of an old Prussian noble family, he carried the title of 'Freiherr,' which translates to 'independent lord,' akin to a baron. This noble heritage provided him with the means and motivation to pursue his interests in the natural world.
