Helen Battle

Helen Battle, born on August 31, 1903, was a trailblazing Canadian ichthyologist and marine biologist. Her groundbreaking work in the field of marine biology not only set a precedent for future generations but also marked her as the first Canadian woman to earn a PhD in this discipline.
